CAIRO, Dec 10 (Aswat Masriya) Clashes erupted on Tuesday between students supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and the security located on Azhar University campus, reported the state-owned news agency MENA.

A number of students pelted the security forces with stones and empty bottles. The forces responded by firing teargas to disperse them, according to MENA.

Students set fire to trees and tires outside some faculties to stop the security forces from entry.

Clashes continued between protesting students and security forces outside campus.

Similarly, clashes took place near Cairo University between pro-Brotherhood students and the security forces. No causalities were reported.

Meanwhile, the higher board of Azhar University said that classes are not suspended and that the first semester exams will take place on time regardless of the situation.

Security forces arrested on Monday 58 protesters during clashes and five people were injured, according to the health ministry.
