Nobel Laureate and prominent opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei accused President Mohamed Mursi's regime of fascism on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

"Ignorance and tampering with the essence of the rule of law, starting with the constitutional decree, to the election law, are symptoms of a fascist state," the former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency posted.

In reaction to the Administrative Court's order to suspend the parliamentary elections which were scheduled for April 22 and referring the matter to the High Constitutional Court, ElBaradei said, "the mess continues; courtesy of epic failure of governance."

He also expressed surprise at the president's continuous talk about "legitimacy" in spite of all what is going on in the country.

The Coordinator of Egypt's National Salvation Front explained that his decision to boycott the parliamentary elections, the constituent assembly and before that the presidential elections stemmed from the respect to the concept of the rule of law.
