CAIRO, Dec 11 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is scheduled to fly to Jordan on Thursday to hold bilateral talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II in an official visit, the presidential spokesman said.

The talks will explore means of promoting relations between the two countries in different fields, and the recent regional developments, Ambassador Alaa Youssef added.

The unannounced visit comes shortly after the heads of states met at the presidential palace in Cairo on November 30, during a short visit for King Abdullah to Egypt.

Sisi and King Abdullah discussed possible means of "fighting terrorism" during their meeting, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef in a statement. They stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of Arab and Islamic countries to achieve this goal.

Sisi's visit to Jordan might be followed by a visit to Saudi Arabia, sources at the Cairo International Airport said.
