CAIRO, May 20 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's minister of higher education, Sayed Abdel Khalek was injured in a car accident in New Cairo on Wednesday, reported the state news agency MENA.
The minister's vehicle crashed into another car on a road in New Cairo, a source within the general traffic administration told MENA.
Abdel Khalek was immediately rushed to hospital in an ambulance to make sure he sustained no serious injuries, reported MENA.
Road accidents are a common occurrence in Egypt, being among the prime causes of death in the Arab world's most populous country.
