Egypt's stock market inches up by 0.79 pct at end of trading

CAIRO, Feb 8 (Aswat Masriya) – The Egyptian stock market's benchmark index EGX 30 edged up by 0.79  per cent at the end of trading on Monday, reaching 6,174 points up from 6,126.

Similarly, the index for small and medium enterprises EGX 70 slightly rose by 0.08 per cent while the broader EGX 100 inched up by 0.1 per cent.

Egyptian and foreign investors made net sales while Arab investors made net purchases.  

The performance of market indices varied during the past week as the main index EGX 30 hiked by 3.6 per cent, while EGX 70 and EGX 100 declined by 1.8 and 0.88 per cent, respectively.
