CAIRO, Jan 17 (Aswat Masriya) - The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy has called on its supporters to rally on Friday for week-long demonstrations in preparation for the anniversary of the January 2011 Revolution.

Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi said on Thursday that the revolution’s anniversary approaches “amid malicious calls for staging demonstrations during this occasion”.

“Let us resume the days of anger and national liberation to retrieve the January 25 Revolution,” said the alliance, which backs ousted President Mohamed Mursi.

The alliance said that its call for boycotting the constitutional referendum has greatly succeeded.

Mursi’s supporters have been staging demonstrations since his ouster last July.
