The Egyptian authorities reopened its border crossing with Gaza Strip on Saturday after it was closed on Friday, reported the state-owned news agency.

Opening the Rafah Crossing allowed stranded passengers to cross in and out of the Palestinian territory.

The closure of the Rafah crossing before had raised humanitarian concerns considering its Gaza's only gateway to the outside world, according to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
