TANTA, April 30 (Aswat Masriya) Train movement was halted on Wednesday  between the Nile Delta cities of Tanta and al-Malha when factory workers cut off the railroad to protest the delayed payment of their salaries, reported the state news agency MENA.

Workers at the Samanoud Texture Factory have not received their salaries since February. They placed burning rubber tires and wood on the rail line and set up tents near it, according to MENA.

Union Committee Chairman Mahran Faraj said that the workers would not end their strike until the officials intervene to resolve the problem of unpaid wages.
