CAIRO, Feb 21 (Aswat Masriya) - Clashes that flared up between al-Ahli football club fans and security forces on Thursday night at the Cairo International Stadium left 24 injured, said a Health Ministry spokesman.

In a statement to the Egyptian Radio and Television Union's Akhbar Masr website, spokesman Ahmed Kamel said there were no fatalities.

Kamel did not clarify if the injured included security personnel or not.

On its part, the Interior Ministry has said that the clashes left 10 officers and 15 conscripts injured.

Fans of Alhi football club and hardcore fans "Ultras Ahlawi" have clashed with security forces following a football match between the Egyptian Ahli Club and the Tunisian Sfaxien Club on Thursday, reported the Middle East News Agency.

Ahli won the CAF Super Cup for the sixth time in history after they beat the Tunisian team in a game on Thursday evening at the Cairo International Stadium.
