Ex-minister Garana released on bail pending retrial

CAIRO, Dec 16 (Aswat Masriya) Giza Criminal Court ordered on Monday the release of former Tourism Minister Zuhair Garana on bail of 100,000 Egyptian pounds and adjourned the case to January 20, MENA said.
Garana was detained pending investigations into allegations that he facilitated the illegal transfer of land to two businessmen.
Egypt’s Court of Cassation granted Garana a retrial in February, cancelling his sentence to five years in prison.
