CAIRO, Aug 15 (Aswat Masriya) - Two bombs exploded in Menoufia governorate knocking down an electricity pylon, state-run MENA agency reported on Friday.

A security cordon was imposed after two more bombs were defused by a bomb squad, Menoufia's head of security said, adding that security forces swept the area to ensure no other bombs were planted.

Egypt's electricity grid underwent a number of attacks recently.

Since former President Mohamed Mursi's ouster last July, bombings have taken place in North Sinai and in different areas in the Nile Delta and Nile Valley.
