Egypt’s health Ministry reported on Thursday that 243 people were injured in Mansoura and ten were injured in Sharqiya in clashes between opponents and supporters of President Mohamed Mursi which took place late on Wednesday.

A medical source told the state news agency that the injured were admitted to local hospitals.

Mursi appeared in a televised speech on Wednesday ahead of mass rallies planned for the end of this month to call for his removal.
