A Cairo prosecutor referred six guards of the Muslim Brotherhood's supreme guide, Mohamed Badie, to criminal court on Monday on charges of illegal possession of arms, a judicial source said. 

The prosecutor also asked the authorities to investigate the defendants' ties with Hamas after they found images of them on their mobile phones dressed as jihadists. 

The defendants will be detained for four days pending the investigations in accordance with the prosecutor's order.
