The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy called for staging mass rallies to express support for youths on Friday.
"The youths are the revolution's backbone" is the coalition’s slogan for Friday.
Supporters of the former President Mohamed Mursi have been staging demonstrations since the army removed Mursi, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood, from power.
They protested against what they called a coup against legitimacy.
The protests reached their peak on August 14 when security forces cleared out two Brotherhood camps in Cairo.
"Youths have been and still are the revolution's backbone and hope," the coalition said in a statement.
The call for protests coincides with the return of students to the schools and universities for the new academic year amid fears of acts of violence that target schools.
