CAIRO, May 16 (Aswat Masriya) - Six masked gunmen on three motorbikes shot and killed a policeman exiting a security facility in Giza's town of Kerdasa in the early hours of Saturday, the Interior Ministry said.

The ministry said in a statement that the killed policeman belongs to its Homeland Security division. The incident occurred shortly after midnight.

Bombings and shootings targeting security forces have surged since the military ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule.
