CAIRO, Mar 19 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is set to start a three-day visit to Ethiopia and Sudan on Monday, a presidential statement said on Thursday.

The Ethiopian Renaissance dam, currently under construction, is expected to top the discussions with both countries.

The $4 billion dollar dam will be Africa's largest dam, but Egypt fears it would negatively affect its share of Nile waters. The hydroelectric dam is being built on the Blue Nile, which provides Egypt with 85 percent of its Nile water share.

Earlier this month, the three countries reached a preliminary draft agreement governing the dam operations, cooperation among the three states to benefit from the eastern Nile water and the dam, as well as overcoming lingering issues that affect Egypt and Sudan.

According to Egypt's Water Minister Hossam Moghazi, the draft is awaiting the approval of the heads of the three states in order to become binding.
