Egypt's National Salvation Front announced on Saturday that it will boycott the upcoming parliamentarian elections if the president does not respond to their demands of forming a credible national unity government and a committee to amend the constitution.

The Front held President Mohamed Mursi responsible for the death of more Egyptians in the "new wave of revolution" in Ismailia, Suez and Port Said as a result of "excessive use violence."

They called on all Egyptians to Rally on Friday for dropping the current constitution whilst adhering to the peacefulness of the protests. The Front condemned the excessive violence that the country witnessed on Friday and earlier on Saturday.

The Front demanded forming a neutral committee to amend the controversial articles in the constitution. It also emphasized the importance of subjecting the Muslim Brotherhood to the rule of law.

It stressed upon the importance of taking back the assault on the independence of the judiciary through dismissing the current Attorney General who was assigned by the president by virtue of a constitutional decree in November.
