Security forces at Cairo International Airport arrested seven Palestinians, in possession of maps and sketches of Egyptian government buildings, upon their arrival from Syria on Wednesday.

After the suspects were questioned by the authorities, it was revealed that they entered Egypt via Gaza's smuggling tunnels then traveled to Syria and from there Iran without stamps to prove their entry which raised the authorities' concerns.

Interrogations with the suspects are ongoing for the authorities to unveil their reasons for carrying sketches of Egyptian government buildings, reported the state news agency MENA.
