Envoy says Chinese investments in Egypt increase by 60 pct

Chinese investments in Egypt have increased by 60 percent ($200 million) during the past two years to reach $560 million, China's ambassador to Egypt said on Sunday.

China is looking forward to boosting bilateral relations with Egypt, the Middle East News Agency reported ambassador Song Aiguo as saying.

Aiguo's statement came during a Chinese delegation's visit to the industrial and investment area in Giza's Abu Rawash.

Giza governorate has promising investment potential due to its distinguished location, Ali Abdel Rahman, governor of Giza, said.

The Chinese delegation's visit comes as part of the governorate's efforts to development investment and its goals is to display the available investments and their potential in every area.
