CAIRO, June 25 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's Interior Ministry has held the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood responsible for the series of blasts that hit Cairo on Wednesday and left at least eight people wounded.

"These explosions are desperate attempts by members of the terrorist Brotherhood to prove their presence in the street," the state news agency reported Interior Ministry Spokesman Hani Abdel Latif as saying. 

Four minor bomb blasts took place in different Cairo metro stations, wounding at least seven people.

Another bomb exploded near a Cairo court house, which wounded one person. 

Egypt declared the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation last year after a wave of violence that followed the overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July.

On its side, the Brotherhood has denied being involved in acts of terrorism and said that it continued to abide by peacefulness.
