Egypt's health ministry has announced that the toll of injuries from Friday clashes across the country between security forces and supporters of deposed President Mohamed Mursi reached 34 people.

The clashes took place at the Media Production City in Cairo's Sixth of October district and Ainshams district and the governorate of Fayoum.

At least 25 were injured at the Media Production City and only one person was injured at Ainshams in northern Cairo, while eight people were injured in Fayoum reported the Middle East News Agency.

Mursi loyalists tried to storm into the production city, where most private television channels are based, and the security forces responded by firing teargas to disperse them.

Supporters of Mursi staged demonstrations across Egypt on Friday to protest the army's decision to ouster the Islamist president, which came after mass protests against him.
