The Dostour Party has announced its full backing for the rebellion movement "Tamarod" whose aim is to collect support for a no confidence vote against President Mohamed Mursi's government.

The campaign, which aims to have collected 15 million signatures by June 30 (a year after Mursi was elected to office), also plans to call for an early presidential election.

The liberal party, founded by opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei, has began corresponding with Tamarod, offering its offices around the country as space to receive those interested to sign the petition and/or to learn about the campaign.

In a statement on Thursday, it said that its youths have been at the forefront of the campaign's volunteers since the movement began its efforts at the beginning of this month.

Other political parties, including Hamdeen Sabahi's Popular Current Party, the Wafd Party and the Social Democratic Party have also announced their support for the movement which claims to have collected two million signatures to date.

Dostour has also announced its intention to join Friday's demonstration, calling on its members to join marches from Mohandseen and Shoubra to Tahrir.
