CAIRO, May 11 (Aswat Masriya) An Egyptian court has adjourned the trial of prominent activist Ahmed Douma and 268 others over clashes by the cabinet building in 2011 to May 29.

Douma and the others are accused of assembling, possessing weapons, attacking army and police forces, burning down a historic building and causing damages to other state buildings.

Prominent television host Wael al-Ibrashy said in his testimony on Sunday that "Douma is a patriotic young man and a peaceful protester."

Douma is currently serving a three-year sentence over clashes that erupted in November last year.
