Egypt's Interior Ministry said that two people were killed when gunmen opened fire on a police checkpoint at Cairo's Nozha area.

Gunmen driving two unidentified cars randomly shot at a police checkpoint in Nozha, killing policeman Mostafa Rabea Mohamed and a citizen named Ahmed Youssef, a ministry official stated.
