CAIRO, Sept 7 (Aswat Masriya) - Registration for Egypt's upcoming parliamentary elections will be extended for three days, the Supreme Elections Commission (SEC) announced on Monday. 

The door for registration will closed on September 15 instead of September 12. 

Over 3400 candidates have registered, until now, to compete over the 448 individual seats in the house of representatives.

Egypt will run its parliamentary elections on October 18 over two phases. The elections will end on November 23. 

Egypt's last elected parliament was in June 2012, however it was discredited due to a high court order annulling the law its election was based on.
