SHARQIA, May 11 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's security forces have found the kidnapped police officer, who was abducted hours earlier by unidentified gunmen in Sharqia, north of Cairo, a security sources said.

Mohamed Haroon was on his way to visit his family when masked men blocked the road and fired gunshots at his car. They took him to an undisclosed location and left his car

The authorities announced a state of emergency and launched a security campaign in the area.

Haroon was found in state of fatigue near a factory on a highroad leading to Sharqia with mild injuries.
