CAIRO, Jun 19 (Aswat Masriya) - A 35-year-old policeman was injured late Thursday when a blast hit his house in North Sinai's city of Arish, security sources said.

Eyewitnesses told Aswat Masriya that "two gunmen on a motorbike threw a bomb at a security personnel's house" south of Arish.

Militancy inside Egypt has seen a significant rise since the military ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule. The majority of attacks occur in North Sinai, targeting security forces.
