CAIRO, Dec 10 (Aswat Masriya) – Egypt’s core inflation decreased in November by 0.15 percent compared to a 0.55 percent increase in October, to become 7.81 percent, the central bank said on Wednesday.

The central bank had announced last month that core inflation stood at 8.47 percent in October.

The annual urban consumer inflation also declined to 9.09 in November, decreasing by 1.53 percent, while it registered at 11.84 in October, the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced.

Inflation increased last summer after the government reduced petroleum subsidies and introduced new taxes in July, hiking fuel prices by up to 78 percent.
