CAIRO, Dec 22 (Aswat Masriya) - The Giza Criminal Court sentenced on Monday former parliamentarian and Wasat Party leading figure Essam Sultan to a year's labour for physically and verbally assaulting policemen securing the North Giza Court.

Sultan was also charged with using force against a North Giza Court police officer, hindering the latter from performing his job, disrupting court sessions and deliberately damaging court property.
