CAIRO, Jul 30 (Aswat Masriya) - Saudi Arabia's deputy crown prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Cairo on Thursday for a short visit, reported the state news agency MENA.

The deputy crown prince, who is scheduled to meet with a number of Egyptian officials and discuss bilateral relations between the two Arab countries, attended a graduation ceremony for the military academy alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Salman and Sisi signed a declaration, the Cairo declaration, which stipulates that both countries will work on developing military, political, cultural, media and economic cooperation, and will demarcate their common maritime border.

Sisi  stressed the unity of Egypt and Saudi Arabia in a speech he delivered during the graduation ceremony. The president described the two countries as the "wings of Arab national security".

Bin Salman, who served as the monarchy's defence minister, was appointed as deputy crown prince by his father, Saudi King Salman last April.

Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab monarchies have provided billions of dollars in aid to Egypt to stave off economic collapse since Sisi, then army chief, ousted Islamist president Mohamed Mursi in 2013 and outlawed his Muslim Brotherhood.
