The Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement announced on Sunday that it has launched a campaign to monitor the demonstrations scheduled for the end of this month.

The association said in a statement that it will have team members across the country monitoring the events as they take place.

It added that the team will receive complaints from protesters, whether related to violent confrontations or violations.

Magdy Abdel Hamid, the head of the EACPE, insisted that the campaign's purpose is to stress on the importance of the right to assembly and demonstration.

A rebel campaign that goes by the name "Tamarod" has been collecting anti-regime petitions to push for a no-confidence vote against President Mohamed Mursi.

It set June 30 as the date for mass protests against Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood regime, to mark his first anniversary of taking office.
