CAIRO, Juy 26 (Aswat Masriya) - Four children were killed and five people were injured after a mortar shell fell on a house in North Sinai on Saturday.

Militants fired a missile at army forces during a crackdown in al-Goura area but the missile fell on the house, a military source told Aswat Masriya.

The injured were taken to hospital for treatment, the source said.

Army and police forces have launched intensive crackdowns on Sinai to arrest militants and extremists that have been increasingly targeting police and military personnel and installations since the ouster of former President Mohamed Mursi last July.

Two police and army officers were killed on Friday after gunmen targeted their vehicle on the Arish-Sheikh Zoueid road.
