Scores of girls and women organised a silent march in Baltim, a resort in Kafr al-Sheikh governorate, to protest against sexual harassment.

The participants condemned harassment and expressed their indignation at this spreading phenomenon, saying that even veiled women are subject to it.

This march which grouped around 50 female activists aims at denouncing harassment, said Mostafa al-Qasif, head of the Watan Centre for Human Rights and one of the march's organisers.

The centre's legal team will stand up to this phenomenon using all legal means especially after head of Kafr al-Sheikh's security headquarters agreed to intensify security in Baltim to combat harassment, Qasif stated.
