CAIRO, Sept 28 (Aswat Masriya) - Arab Foreign ministers adopted a draft resolution on the Israeli incursions on al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the Security Council to take responsibility for ending the aggression on one of the Muslim world's holiest sites.

The joint Egyptian/Palestinian resolution expressed the possibility of resorting to the United Nations Security Council if Israel continues its attack on holy places in East Jerusalem, according to a statement by Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Clashes at the holy site raised international concern as Palestinians and Israeli police confronted each other over during weeks of tension, according to news reports.

Violence broke out again yesterday as Palestinian youths threw stones and fireworks at Israeli forces, who responded with "riot dispersal means".

Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri headed the Arab Foreign Ministers meeting held on the sidelines of the 70th United Nations General Assembly meeting.

Among the topics discussed during the meeting were the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and in Libya where rivaling factions have failed to reach an agreement.
