Scuffles resumed on Sunday in Alexandria between the security forces and the protesters as the latter torched the third police vehicle after setting fire earlier to two central security vehicles.
The scuffles which are still ongoing between protesters and security forces broke out this afternoon in front of an Alexandria court complex after the Criminal Court announced that it will step down in the case of the killing of protesters during the uprising.
The court referred the case to the appeals court. Security forces tried to disperse the protesters by throwing teargas canisters at them.
A witness from Reuters said that the protesters threw rocks at the police before the court's session began, which led to shattering a number of private cars.
Activists and relatives of the uprising victims expressed anger for not issuing a verdict in the case after nearly two years since the uprising.
A footage on Reuters television revealed that an armored police car aimed at running over the protesters, which brings memories of the police actions during the uprising.
The scuffles took place just days before massive protests planned for Friday on the second anniversary of the uprising.
The witness added that most of the protesters are relatives of those killed or injured during the uprising.
He added that the protesters were suffocated by teargas.
