Mahmoud Ghozlan the official spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood emphasized that constitutions are not written by any faction on its own even if it is the majority and that the whole spectrum of the society must participate in the making of the constitution.

The Freedom and Justice Party's website quoted Ghozlan saying "Until now we don't know whether we will form the government or not. The parliamentary system doesn't necessarily entail that the majority in the parliament forms the government and the elected president will have the power to form the government".

He added "We are now in a popular alliance that includes 10 other political parties. And when the time comes to form a government, there will be national consensus between the national factions on the new government"

It is worthy to mention that the Freedom and Justice Party that came out of the Muslim Brotherhood won 154 seats in the parliamentary elections in the first and second phases
