Violent confrontations between police and protesters resumed in Port Said on Tuesday morning, an eyewitness told Aswat Masriya.

He added that police forces responded with tear bombs to disperse protesters, adding that clashes have wounded 11 people who were transferred to the hospital after suffering from suffocation due to the excessive use of teargas.

A group of protesters had attacked the state security office in Port Said earlier on the day, torching its parking with Molotov cocktails.

As soon as the security forces heard about the incident, they rushed with tanks to the site and fired shots in the air to disperse the protesters.
