Egypt's interim president meets with defence and interior ministers

The head of the Constitutional Court Adli Mansour was sworn into office on Thursday as an interim president until early presidential elections are held. July 4, 2013.

The Egyptian interim President, Adli Mansour, met on Saturday with Defence Minister Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim in the presidential palace.

Mansour also met with his three new aides, reported the state news agency.

The interim president, who was sworn into office on Thursday, is expected to announce the formation of a national unity government and a constitutional declaration soon.

Mansour dissolved the upper house of parliament on Friday and appointed Mohamed Ahmed Farid as head of intelligence instead of Mohamed Raafat Shehata who became his security advisor.
