CAIRO, May 17 (Aswat Masriya) Less than two weeks before Egypt's presidential elections, the Carter Center has expressed concern about what it described as "the restrictive political and legal context surrounding Egypt's electoral process." 

A statement released late on Friday also cited "the lack of a genuinely competitive campaign environment and the deep political polarization" as concerns. 

Egyptians will vote between former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi on May 26 and 27.
