CAIRO, Dec 17 (Aswat Masriya) Border Guards uncovered on Tuesday a tunnel that is used to smuggle cars in North Sinai’s Rafah, Egypt’s military spokesman said.

The spokesman added in a Facebook statement on Tuesday that the authorities also captured a truck carrying drugs.

The findings were referred to a special judicial body to take the necessary measures.

Egypt began an extended security operation in the lawless Sinai Peninsula, following the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi, to capture outlaws and demolish illegal tunnels.
