CAIRO, Dec 22 (Aswat Masriya) Bassem Mohsen, who received three shots in Suez clashes between security forces and supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi last Friday, has died.

Mohsen, who was announced dead as a result of a shot to the head at a Cairo hospital on Sunday, lost one of his eyes in Mohamed Mahmoud's violent events in 2011.

He was not a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood or Mursi, he joined Friday’s demonstration to express his rejection to the new protest law, Mahmoud al-Gendy from the Revolutionary Youth Coalition said.

A judicial source told Aswat Masriya that all the injuries from Friday’s protests in Suez were a result of gunfire not birdshots.

Suez’s security director has denied the use of live shots on Friday, accusing Mursi’s supporters of killing Mohsen.
