UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed concern about violence in Egypt during the past few days. Ki-moon deplored the loss of life and the big number of injuries.

MENA reported on the spokesman of the UN General-Secretary’s statements that Ban Ki-moon called again on the Egyptian authorities to guarantee the protection of human rights and civil liberties for all Egyptians.

He also called for an “inclusive, orderly and peaceful transition that meets the legitimate aspirations of the Egyptian people through transparent and credible elections leading to the establishment of civilian rule.”
