CAIRO, May 27 (Aswat Masriya) – The Presidential Elections Commission (PEC) has extended voting at polling stations for one hour on Tuesday.

The voting will conclude at 10 p.m. but poll stations may close their doors after that, depending on the turnout, said Abdel Aziz Salman, secretary-general of the commission.

The PEC received a large number of complaints from citizens and contenders’ representatives at various polling stations, Salman said on Monday night in a statement.

The commission found some complaints to be truthful while others were not, he stated.

The PEC also sent out a number of on-call judges to provide assistance for heads of subcommittees.

It also replaced for judges on Monday, two of whom had many complaints against them and two others who suffered severe stress due to the work load.
