CAIRO, Feb 11 (Aswat Masriya) - Unknown assailants shot dead a police officer in Port Said on Tuesday, Egypt's Interior Ministry said on its Facebook page.

Two unidentified men on a motorcycle shot at an officer who was inspecting the Golf area, a ministry official stated.

Security forces have intensified their efforts to track down the perpetrators, he added.

This incident is the second of its kind on Monday. Earlier today, unknown gunmen killed a policeman in Ismailia and stole his gun.
