CAIRO, Jan 18 (Aswat Masriya) – A gas cylinder exploded near a hospital in the coastal city of Alexandria early Sunday, killing a hospital security guard and causing partial damage to the hospital, the ministry of interior said.

Forensic and explosives experts arrived at the scene and upon initial inspection, no explosive material was seen, the ministry added in a statement. The explosion caused parts of the hospital's walls to collapse, landing on parked cars.
