Refaat al-Saeed, head of al-Tagammu Party, accused on Saturday President Mohamed Mursi of appointing a former state security officer who specialized in procuring torture tools as a legal advisor for the president.

Al-Saeed warned President Mursi, the General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Badie and his first deputy Khairat al-Shater of attempts to attack their opponents or those who fight for a civil state.

“If they want a war, so be it. If they want peace, so be it. We will not be sheep,” al-Saeed said during a press conference held on Saturday afternoon at al-Tagammu Party headquarters.

Representatives of the Egyptian Democratic Party, al-Tahrir Party and al-Wafd Party attended the press conference.

Al-Saeed added he does not blame Mursi’s decision to call on the parliament to reconvene in spite of the Supreme Constitutional Court’s ruling to annul this step.
