CAIRO, March 22 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou said on Saturday that the tourism sector is completely collapsed, pointing that he plans to make great changes in management to improve conditions.
Zaazou told the state news agency that he is looking into legislative amendments to resolve the problems that the sector is suffering from.
Egypt's tourism, a main source of income, has suffered dramatically since the ouster of Hosni Mubarak in 2011 due to political instability.
Zaazou added that the ministry will soon be hiring a new staff, that includes younger people, to revive the sector.
He added that the government also plans to work with the foreign ministry to launch offices abroad to promote tourism in Egypt.
