CAIRO, May 27 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has declared Tuesday an official holiday for government employees to give them the chance to cast their votes in the ongoing presidential elections.

In a press statement late on Monday, Mahlab urged private sectors and businessmen to provide them with the opportunity to vote.

Egyptians began voting between former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi on Monday.

Polls will be open until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27.
