Tens of Muslim Brotherhood supporters rallied by Egypt's High Court in downtown on Saturday morning to denounce mass arrests that followed the army’s ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

The protesters carried symbols of the Rabaa sit-in, where hundreds were killed by security forces in August, and called for the return of the ousted president, reported the state news agency.

They also chanted slogans denouncing the army and police.

An alliance that supports Mursi had called for demonstrations against what it described as attacks carried out against women and children by security forces.
