Bani Soueif's Prosecution released on Sunday Ammar Mohamed al-Beltagi due to the lack of evidence against him.

Mohamed al-Beltagi is a prominent Muslim Brotherhood leader.

Attorney General of Bani Soueif's Prosecution ordered the detainment of Mohamed Essam Ahmed Ibrahim (doctor), Tarek Mostafa Mohamed al-Deri (grandson of Sheikh Hassan Gouda, former member of the Brotherhood's Executive Office), Belal Younes Sarhan (son of a leading Brotherhood figure) and Mohamed Hussein Abdel Azim for four days pending investigation into recent acts of violence in the province.

The Interior Ministry announced that Ammar, along with several other Brotherhood figures, was arrested earlier on Sunday, adding that the prosecution ordered their arrest.
